Hello my fashion follower! It has been a while since I posted anything and I missed you all!  For this post I am trying something new.  I attended an event last night at BUCK 15 which was the fabulous host bar for the after party for the BASE Spring preview after party.   Unfortunately for me I was not able to snag an invite to the actual event at BASE but I was able to attend the after party which of course is where all the fun actually happens.   But lets start at the beginning,  BASE held a fashion show preview for the new ADIDAS SLRV collection which will premiere at the famed South Beach retailer later this spring.  The “who’s who’s” of the Miami Fashion scene were in attendance (which is why I probably couldn’t snag the invite, but i digress) and the new line is a hit for ADIDAS. The real fun, however, happened at the after party which was held at the hip and untrendy BUCK 15 LOUNGE. BUCK 15 is a staple in the South Beach scene.  It’s the place to go for those of us who just want to relax, look at some cool art, and have a great cocktail without the usual craziness and massiveness of the “TRENDY” Miami club scene.  The DJ for the evening was the famed South Florida Drag Queen DAISY DEAD PETALS (look her up if you don’t know the name).  Dead Petals spun hot music and the bartenders served up the cold drinks all night long.  All in all it was a fun event and I am happy to have been able to bring it to you, my fashion followers.  So if you want to try a different vibe then the usual South Beach craziness, put on your skinny jeans, graphic tee, and fedora and head on over to BUCK15 for a little taste of the East Village by the water.

Rupaul’s Drag Race has come back for its 3rd season on Logo and it’s about time I feature it on this blog.  For this particular post, I would like to dedicate this to my makeup-istas.  Now being a veteran of the gay nightlife, I have learned that if you want to know anything about make-up, ASK A DRAG QUEEN! This season brought a few changes and surprises to Drag Race, like a new judge, the fabulous Jersey Girl, Michelle Visage Michelle came to fame in the late 80’s early 90’s with the girl group Seduction and later as a hip radio DJ on the top rated New York station, KTU, The Beat of New York. Also top-notch celebrity judges like the incomparable Vanessa Williams and the award-winning Lily Tomlin.  But the one change that is interesting is the make-up line sponsoring Drag Race this year, Kryolan Cosmetics.  Now to us regular people, we might not be familiar with this particular line, but they have been around for 65 years.  Who knew?  Kryolan is based out of Germany and is mainly know in the professional make-up circle.  I am here to bring it to the masses, or at least the 10’s of people who read my blog! They are a mass producer of color and products and if Rupaul has given her seal of approval, I think the ladies (and lady boys) of America should take notice!
