If you haven’t heard by now, current FASHION DIRECTOR, Emmanuelle Alt, has been named new EDITOR-IN-CHIEF of French “Vogue“.  President of Conde Nast France Xavier Romatet has confirmed this and everyone seems to be happy with the decision.  Alt has been the Fashion Director of the magazine since 2001.  Everyone does seem to agree, however, that she will not be rocking the boat, just keeping things running smoothly in the tradition of Carine Roitfeld.  Good luck from across the pond Ms. Alt! Can’t wait for your first issue to come out in April 2011.

THE NEW YORK TIMES reports the current Editor-in-Chief of French Vogue is stepping down after a decade of glamour, profits, and great taste.  Shock to the fashion world is an understatment but we will be waiting for your next move Ms. Roitfeld.  Maybe your very own magazine? One can only dream!  GOOD LUCK!
