According to WWD and InStyle online, Runway to Green is putting together the first Eco-Friendly fashion show of the year.  On March 29, 2011 top designers will be donating looks from their Fall 2011 runways.  Here is a portion of the press release from Runway to Green:

“RTG announces major fashion brands as part of the program; confirmed participating designer brands include Gucci, Prada, Balenciaga, Burberry, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Jacobs, Diane von Furstenberg, Manolo Blahnik, Oscar de la Renta, Stella McCartney, Jason Wu, Alexander Wang, Tory Burch, Derek Lam, Marchesa, Marni, Michael Kors, Rachel Roy, Rag & Bone, Thakoon, Osklen, Pringle of Scotland, Timex 80, Tommy Hilfiger.  NET-A-PORTER is the exclusive online retailer for the launch.”

As you can see, the creme-de-la-creme of designers have signed on.  Another giant step for the Green community.  Onward and upward my eco-friendly friends…baby steps are steps, and we are definitely stepping in the right direction!

Elle Woods might not want to believe this, but for Spring 2011, orange is the new pink.  It was quite evident this season, orange appeared on almost every major runway.  It came in evening gowns, summer dresses, accessories, & pants.  It came in every hue, from rust to bright to reddish tones to peachy tones.  It came in every fabric from leather to jersey to chiffon.  So ladies go ahead and add some citrus to your wardrobe!

My new favorite accessory for the holidays is inspired by my own Bible, VOGUE Magazine, and it is the minaudiere.  I know it sounds old fashioned, but as usual, our favorite designers have renovated a classic to be modern, edgy, and fashion forward.  They come in all shapes and sizes, all colors and textures, and in every imaginable material in the world.  I hope these pictures inspire you to go out and buy one in your price range and spice up your holiday wardrobe.
