Today, as most of us pay tribute to the wonderful men and women in the armed forces, I pay tribute to the influence those armed forces have had on men’s fashion.  Whether it be through silhouette, color palette, or structure, the US military has influenced men’s (and women’s) fashion throughout the ages.  We’ve seen military jackets as casual wear, army fatigues as sportswear, even boots as evening wear.  Yes almost every year there is some kind of military influence on runways and for spring 2011 there is no exception.  I give you Burberry Prorsum as my style choice for the season.  Christopher Bailey has managed to seamlessly intertwine the armed forces with a fashion edge not seen in men’s wear in quite a long time.  From knee-length peacoats to leather pants that would make Steven Tyler cry with joy, Bailey has the most innovative men’s collection of the season.  So with this I leave you today my fashion followers, be all that you can be whether you are in the military, or just wish you looked like you are.  Click HERE to see Burberry Prorsum’s entire collection.
